The Illinois State Senator who represents northern LaSalle County will leave office at the end of the term. Freeport Republican Brian Stewart says after almost 50 years in public service, it’s time for a new chapter. He owns a company that provides security, employee background checks, technology, and other services for businesses. Stewart was a military police officer and then a local government police officer before he ran for office. He says he could not have imagined leading the charge to support law enforcement and create thousands of jobs from the Illinois Capitol.
