Morris Hospital’s first birth of the year is to a Morris couple. Waylon Draeger is the son of Emily and Dan Draeger. He was born Monday morning and is their second child.
The hospital’s announcement says he was scheduled to be delivered by C-section, but the parents didn’t know he’d be the first birth of the year there until that day. They scheduled the procedure long before the new year. Emily Draeger says they didn’t even think about the new year timing.
