The city of Peru is down one snowplow. Fire Chief Jeff King says the engine stopped working when the city was plowing after the first snowfall at the end of last month.
King says the truck is not that new. He says the truck is a 2006 and has only 36,000 miles.
He says the truck will be sent to a local business to be fixed. He says he wanted the city council to know because the truck is in the main fleet and needs to be fixed before the next snowfall.
