COVID tests are no longer being given on a walk-in basis at St. Margaret’s Health. The hospital system says it doesn’t have enough tests to do that. It’s saving them for patients with doctor’s orders.
If you have been exposed to the virus, you’re asked to isolate yourself and call your doctor if you start having symptoms. Meanwhile, those who need negative tests to go to work, school, or an entertainment event should get tested at a retail pharmacy or community testing center.
OSF Healthcare made a similar announcement earlier this week.
