Duttlinger says the Joliet St. work is to repair a pipe that has had many breaks. The part on Illinois 23 is to improve water flow. Another area to be done is on Fern St.
City Commissioner Tom Ganiere says the city usually spends around $1 million a year on such projects, but he says prices are up and the city’s doing more than usual.
