Republican Gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey has a running mate. Former conservative radio talk show host Stephanie Trussell was announced as Bailey’s pick for running for lieutenant governor at his fundraising stop at the Lone Buffalo in Ottawa Monday.

Trussell says she had to stop doing radio when the station she worked for started airing games for the University of Illinois. But then she started working for a campaign.

She says she’d never been in a campaign before, but she did learn a lot.

Trussell says that one of her main issues she wants to focus on is making Illinois livable again. She also says that St Sen. Darren Bailey is what Illinois truly needs.

Another issue she says she excited to work for is unmasking children in school.
