One of the candidates running for governor in Illinois next year will visit Ottawa for a fundraiser next week. Southern Illinois Republican Darren Bailey will be at the Lone Buffalo restaurant Monday from 4pm to 5:30pm. LaSalle County Republican Party Second Vice Chairman Beth Findley Smith says anyone is welcome to ask questions. For a $25 campaign contribution, there’ll be food and a cash bar open to the donor. Bailey is also visiting 11 other communities across Illinois next week.
