The Marquette Crusaders bounced back from Monday’s loss to defeat their host Hall at the Colmone Classic. Tommy Durdan led the Cru with 19 points and Logan Nelson finished with 12 points in the victory.

Also at the Colmone Classic: LP defeated Mendota 59-24 and St Bede lost to Princeton 70-51

 

Ottawa won at home over Kaneland 48-40 at Kingman Gym. Leading the way for the Pirates were Aaron Threadgill with 16 points and Luke Cushing also scoring 16 points and a game high 12 rebounds.

The JV squad lost to Kaneland 51-36. Huston Hart led Ottawa with 17 points and four steals.

 

Streator were winners at home over Peotone 59-42. Christian Benning finished with a game-high 28 points and 4 steals for the Bulldogs.

 

Serena won at Indian Creek 63-48. Ben Shugrue led the Huskers with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.

 

Tonight the Ottawa Lady Pirates will host their rival the LP Cavaliers at Kingman Gym. Other games scheduled tonight in Girls Varsity Basketball:  Streator is at Dwight, Seneca is home to face St Bede and Morris will host Plano.

 

The Ottawa boys bowling team beat Kaneland. High roller for the Pirates was Nelson Brandt with a 617 series score and a high game of 261.  

 

The JV team also won with Noah Sallee leading the way with a high game of 183.

 

The Ottawa Girls Bowling team won at home over Morris.  Leading the way for the Lady Pirates was  McKenzie Lewis with a 499 series score and a high game of 175 game.

 

 

The St Bede wrestling team competed with Princeton and Putnam County/ Hall in a triangular matchup. Match winners for the Bruins were:  Mason Hurst   Ryan Nawa  Logan Pineda    Henry Orteza   Garrett Connelly   Grady Gillan  and Ryan Migliorini. 

 

In junior high sports 

The Shepherd boys basketball competed against Plano.

The 8th grade team lost 27-15. Lucas Farabaugh scored 8 points for the Rams.

The  7th graders won 29-17 leading the for the Rams were Griffin Dobberstein with 15 points, and George Shumway adding 6 more in the victory..
