The city of LaSalle is expecting the tax levy to be about the same next year as this year.City Finance Director John Duncan says this year the city is asking for $3,133,784 which is about $16,000 more than they levied for last year.

Duncan says the police pensions are going up by $130,000 while the fire department pensions are going down by $47,000.

He also says the city will be paying that last of a bond owed on the library. The city is also asking for more money for Social Security and Municipal retirement fund.
