LaSalle City Council is hiring Kmetz Architects to fix the roof of city hall. City Finance Director John Duncan says the weather has been doing some damage. He says anytime it rains, it’s also raining on the second floor.
Duncan says the city got about $600,000 from the American Rescue Plan and wants to use it because it’s in the bank. He says the city wants to fix the roof first and then work on the brick in the next year.
He says after those projects are done; city hall could have its gutters fixed. And different areas could be re-painted.
