Three LaSalle County residents have died of the coronavirus since Friday, according to the county health department’s weekly report issued early this week because of the holiday. They were all men in their 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. That makes 357 fatal cases so far.
New cases numbered 167 for 16,005 so far. Recoveries were just 98 for 14,937 so far. That brings the county to 1,068 currently active cases.
Few of the new cases are in the elderly. Forty-seven are in children and teenagers, 53 are in people in their 20’s and 30’s, and 38 are in their 40’s and 50’s. Just 29 are among people ages 60 and up.
