Frank Michael Kent, Jr., 82, of Seneca, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 12 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home, with military honors.
He was born April 21, 1939, in Duluth, MN, to Frank Michael, Sr. and Martha Catherine (Koncal) Kent. He married Irene Louise Kowalczyk of Morris who survives.
Frank served in the United States Navy. He owned and operated an over the road trucking company and What’s New – Nothing antique shop in Seneca. He enjoyed going to auctions, yard sales, and loved to barter.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; five children, Michael Kelly Kent of VA, Kandy, Richard W., and Steven Robert Kent all of Seneca, and Bob (Ashley) Kent of Carbon Hill, IL; nine grandchildren, Kent, Brett and Ethan McPeak, Richard Smith, and James, Shannon, Allison, Gareth and Easton Kent; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol Kent Kirckof, Rita Kent Olson Ellington, and Patricia Kent.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ginger Armstrong; two grandchildren, Wesley Armstrong and Austin Kent; a great-granddaughter, Lea Palmer; one sister, Gail Parrott; and a brother, Bobby Kent.
