After a sting operation done by the Illinois State Police, a bar in Peru is in some trouble. Spikes Tavern owner 78-year Ronald Dettore has been accused of selling alcohol to a minor and allowing a minor to enter a licensed premise after a bartender allegedly sold the minor a drink.
Police Chief Robert Pyszka says that Dettore could be charged $750 for each offense. Dettore was given a Decmeber 15th court date.
Pyszka says if it happens one more time, Spikes liquor license could be suspended for 30 days.
