As the Ottawa YMCA works to bring in the last million dollars it needs for its new building, don’t expect to get anything about it in the mail. Director Joe Capece says the Y is using a more direct and personal approach. Volunteers are talking directly with a few hundred prospective donors.
Capece is expecting this part of the campaign to last two months. Donations of any amount are welcome. Groundbreaking on the new $24 million building is planned for March or April.
