The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children is available through the LaSalle County Health Department. The department says you must make an appointment. Anyone showing up on a walk-in basis will be turned away.
Those appointments can be made and more information about the shots is available online at https://lasallecounty.org/covid-19-vaccine-update/. The children’s dose is for ages five to 11. It’s one-third the dose for ages 12 and up.
