The Bulls are off to their best start in more than two decades after holding off the Raptors 111-108 in Toronto. DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points against his former team, and Zach LaVine had 22 points for the Bulls, which improved to 4-and-0. It is the first time the Bulls have opened a season with four straight wins since the 1996-97 season. Chicago hosts the Knicks on Thursday.
The fall classic will get underway tonight. Game One of the World Series between the Braves and Astros will take place in Houston. Charlie Morton gets the start for the Braves. Framber Valdez takes the mound for the Astros.
Astros ace pitcher Lance McCullers Jr will miss the series with a forearm injury. McCullers has been sidelined since exiting the divisional series and was given a 6-to-8 week recovery timeline, putting an end to his season.
On Monday Night Football, It was a hard one to watch, but the Saints were able to get a 13-10 win over the Seahawks in rainy Seattle. New Orleans rookie kicker Brian Johnson made two kicks, including the game-winner with less than two minutes to go. Seattle kicker Jason Myers missed two out of his three field goal attempts. The Saints improve to 4-and-2 while the Seahawks drop to 2-and-5.
Bears head coach Matt Nagy isn’t allowed in the team’s practice facility after testing positive for COVID-19. Nagy is fully vaccinated. The Bears currently have four players on the COVID list including tight end Jimmy Graham, right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, outside linebacker Robert Quinn, and linebacker Caleb Johnson.
The Blackhawks are also having issues with COVID-19. Players and assistant coaches missed Sunday’s game against Detroit because they tested positive. all-star Patrick Kane was out before the Red Wings matchup due to already being on COVID protocol. The Hawks had only one assistant behind the bench this past Sunday.

In junior high girls basketball, both teams from Marquette Academy won on the road at Holy Cross in Mendota. The 8th graders won 38-9 Anna Hjerpe led the Lady Knights with ten points.
The 7th grade team allowed no points and won 32-0. For the Academy, Hunter Hopkins finished with twelve points.
