The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are staying in Peru for another season.
The city of Peru approved the ordinance to keep the team at Monday’s city council meeting.
Owner John Jackiemiec says coming back to the city after being away brought back a lot of good memories.
He says there’s a lot of good energy knowing what can happen next season.
General Manager June Keeley says people living in the Illinois Valley still can get in for free next season.
She also says the schedule for next season should be out before the end of the year.
