Illinois Valley Community College President Jerry Corcoran says that economic impact report for the college is very positive.
Corcoran says an associate’s degree through the college is resulting in an additional $240,000 in lifetime earnings.
He says that 80% of people who complete an applied science degree are employed within a year.
Also 34% of IVCC district’s population has had some college or associates degree which is more than what is was in 2010.
Corcoran says the only negative report is a little more than eight thousand residents left the district IVCC is in.
