There’s will be a new vice president of academic affairs at Illinois Valley Community College.
Current Vice President Deborah Anderson will be retiring at the end of the semester.
Gary Roberts will start his term on January 1st.
President Jerry Corcoran says that Roberts has an excellent combination of teaching and administrative experience.
Roberts has worked as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
He has a Ph. D. and masters in political science from Western Michigan University.
