A Morris man who wants a new judge to hear his case isn’t getting one.

Twenty-nine year old Jacob Farmer and his sister Angel are accused of obstructing a peace officer back in March when they tried to bring cell phones into the Etna Rd. courthouse.

Farmer said in court Tuesday that Judge H. Chris Ryan can’t be an impartial judge.

He claims that Ryan and former Sheriff Tom Templeton and other courthouse staff had a conversation about cell phones.

He also says the whole issue has been a joke.

The state says that Farmer didn’t prove any bias.

Judge Michael Jansz said that prejudice must be proven and it can’t be based on feelings alone.

Farmer will be back in court in two weeks with Judge Ryan.
