The County Board Property Committee accepted a bid that is $60,000 more than the original estimate to paint and repair the outside of the downtown LaSalle County Courthouse in Ottawa.
The original estimate was $90,000.
Tiles and Styles bid $149,786.
Ottawa Rep. Arratta Znaniecki voted against the committee’s majority saying it could be better to re-bid.
But Utica Rep. Gary Small said the project needs to get started.
It will start in the spring of 2022.
Another company bid to help paint and repair the outside of the LaSalle County downtown courthouse in Ottawa.
Two more companies were interested in the project but one didn’t bid and the other didn’t attend a mandatory meeting.
