LaSalle County remains at the orange warning level for COVID-19. The county health department says the new case rate is 143.56 per 100,000 people and just 18.5% of the region’s intensive care unit beds are available.
During the last week, three more county residents have died of the virus. They were men in their 50’s and 60’s and a woman in her 90’s. That makes 344 fatal cases so far.
The number of currently active cases as of Friday afternoon’s report is 1,095. The health department says during the last week there were 146 new COVID-19 cases and 223 recoveries. So far, there have been 14,961 cases and 13,866 recoveries.
