The Ottawa varsity golf team will tee off today in the IHSA Boys Class 2A State Tournament at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal.
Seneca won a big game over conference rival Roanoke-Benson in Volleyball. Zoe Hougas had 18 kills and Emma Smith added 12 more for the Lady Irish.
Also in volleyball, Streator Varsity lost to Coal City. For the Lady Bulldogs, Mallory Goerne had 9 kills, Rilee Talty with 13 digs, 2 aces and Abby Bedecker had 9 assists, 2 kills in the loss.
The JV squad also lost to Coal City. Emma Rambo had 2 digs, 6 assists and 2 aces for Streator.
Final results in the Little Ten Conference Boys Soccer Tournament: Somonauk-Leland defeated Earlville 3-1 in the Championship game to win the LTC title. In the 3rd Place game IMSA shutout DePue-Hall 8-0.
