Phyllis “Jean” (Shelton) Daniels, 86, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Colleen Lawrence of the First Congregational Church officiating. Due to the pandemic, face coverings will be required. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Phyllis was born October 11, 1934, in Marseilles, IL, to Gordon W. and Clara E. (Gettler) Shelton. In 1950 she married William H. Daniels of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 2013.

She was an avid Disney collector. She loved her family, camping and traveling to collect antiques.

Jean is survived by two sons and one daughter, Gordayle (Rose) Daniels, Homer (Kim) Daniels, and Dee Smith all of Marseilles; ten grandchildren, Shellie (Stan) Williamson, Gina (Cory) Bohmann, Rosie (Tom) Daniels, Tiffany Daniels, Stacey (Chris) Brown, Josh (Jocelyn) Daniels, Jordan Daniels, Korrena Adkins, Terra (Dave) Schmoeger, and Amanda (Cosmo) Smith; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Doris Daniels of TX and Janis Faust of AZ.

She was preceded in death by, her husband; her parents; a sister, Alice Yentzer; a brother, Don Shelton; two brothers-in law, Bill Shelton and Buddy Daniels; a sister-in-law, Fannie Baker; and a great-grandson, Cody Carter.
