A LaSalle County judge this morning gave a nine-year prison sentence to a Streator man on drug dealing and stolen gun charges. Twenty-one year old Bobby C. Richardson, Jr. had no criminal history until his arrest in March 2020. That’s when sheriff’s deputies who pulled him over for a traffic stop found small bags of cocaine and a loaded, stolen gun in his car.
He pleaded guilty Thursday morning to charges from that stop. Prosecutors are dropping other charges, including one from an October 2020 incident in which Richardson and two other people were accused of dealing cocaine from a house in Streator. Richardson was in court before Judge H. Chris Ryan today.
