The Champlain St. Goose Creek pedestrian bridge project is finally about to start. Ottawa City Hall says Champlain St. in that area will be closed to car and truck traffic from iam to 4:30pm weekdays starting Monday until the job is done next week. People who walk there have been going into the bicycle lane on the street to cross the creek. The pedestrian bridge has been closed for two years since it developed a problem in the supports under it.
