One of the companies that has invested in wind turbines in LaSalle County says it’s pleased with the new energy law. Invenergy says that law supports multiple electric generation methods. The company also likes the part of the law supporting Grain Belt Express, which wants to run power transmission lines across central Illinois.
The Illinois Farm Bureau has opposed the eminent domain authority Grain Belt will get. Invenergy says Grain Belt will invest $1 billion in jobs and energy infrastructure in Illinois at no cost to tax payers.
