It’s going to be another week before watercraft will be allowed on the Vermillion River in the Sandy Ford Bridge area.
The LaSalle County Highway Department says the project has been extended.
Watercraft like canoes, kayaks, tubes and boats won’t be allowed on the river until Wednesday, September 22nd.
The department said the contractor working on the project east of Leonore is putting up a new steel structure.
