Ron Blue is filling the Streator area vacancy left when LaSalle County Board member Norman Sedlock died two months ago. The County Board approved his appointment Monday. Blue worked as a truck driver and auto mechanic before retiring. He has never held an elected or appointed office and says he’ll immediately begin learning about the job.
Blue says he wants everyone to know he’ll vote the way he feels is best to make the community thrive. There’s a little over a year left before all County Board seats are up for election in newly redrawn districts.
