Results in High School Golf:
Ottawa won their own invitational with a team score of 303 at The Deer Park Golf Course. The Pirates Jonathan Cooper led all golfers shooting an even par with a score of 70.
Seneca defeated Henry in a Varsity dual matchup at the Morris Country Club. Noah Cade scored a 41 to lead the Irish to their victory.
The Seneca Girls team competed at the Pontiac Invitational at Wolf Creek Golf Course. Top Performers for the Lady Irish were Laura Yeege scoring a 93 and Addison Stiegler with a final score of 105.
The LP Girls team defeated Earlville and Sandwich in a triangular matchup at Edgebrook Golf Course,
Marquette defeated Indian Creek in Varsity Volleyball at Bader Gym. Leading the Lady Cru was Lindsey Kaufmann with 7 digs 5 Kills and 4 aces. Eva McCallum led the attack with 9 kills and added 3 blocks..
Marquette beat Indian Creek in the JV matchup. Maggie Jewett had 7 kills and Meara Jimenez added 3 aces and 14 assists for the Crusader Victory.
Also in volleyball, Streator lost to Serena in two straight sets. Hannah Rambo had five kills, two aces and Ellie Isermann with four kills, six assists in the Lady Bulldogs effort.
The Streator boys soccer team lost at home to the undefeated Mendota Trojans 7-0. Goalkeeper Noah Camp stopped 21 of the 28 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss.
At the OHS red and white invitational, The Ottawa girls JV tennis team finished in 4th place out of eight teams. Results for the Lady Pirates was a 2nd place finish for Layne Krug and 4th place finish for McKenzie Eichelkraut in singles. In doubles, Mika Moreland and Aubrey Sanders finished 3rd, the team of Lexi Innis and Gabby Cooper placed 4th and the duo of Adalyn Borowski and Bianca Sipula finished in 5th place.
It was announced this morning, The L-P football team will not play Friday night due to Sandwich High School’s ongoing COVID situation. The Cavaliers will receive a forfeit win to move to 3-1. This will be the second consecutive game Sandwich had to forfeit.
