Illinois farmland values are going up. Luke Worrell with the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers says it’s an unusual year. Prices are up 20% in the first half of 2021 and aren’t showing signs of slowing down.
He says none of the appraisers and farm managers surveyed are expecting farm values to go down in the second half of the year. He explained at the Farm Progress Show there are already auctions proving the values are continuing to rise.
