The noise ordinance update written in response to complaints about loud music from bars late at night is on file at Ottawa City Hall. The City Council could adopt it in two weeks. Mayor Dan Aussem believes it’s a proposal people are satisfied with. There were no comments on it at a workshop meeting last Thursday or at the City Council meeting last night.
The ordinance specifies how loud the sound may be by decibel level. And it tells where the measurements may be made.
