Wednesday morning update
Hail the size of golf balls fell in the Mendota and Earlville areas yesterday afternoon. The storm system caused power outages in northern and eastern LaSalle County. It caused many more outages in Grundy and Will counties.
Ameren Illinois says just two of its customers were without electricity this morning in the Marseilles and Wedron areas. ComEd says it had less than five customers without power in the Stavanger area and less than five still waiting for power restoration in or near Seneca. But ComEd had many more outages in Grundy and Will counties yet.
Tuesday night version
A storm that went through northern LaSalle and southern Dekalb counties this afternoon caused power outages still affecting the Sheridan, Harding, Serena, Norway, and Wedron areas this evening. Ameren Illinois hasn’t provided restoration times for all locations still affected. ComEd also reports outages from Seneca to Stavanger and into Grundy County. Some parts of LaSalle County close to the border with Dekalb County got hail as big as golf balls.
