In some parts of the state, highway construction zones lane limits will ease up for the holiday weekend. Not around here. The Illinois Department of Transportation says there will still be lane reductions in the LaSalle, Bureau, and Grundy counties projects. Construction zone speed limits will still be in effect, even though there won’t be construction crews present. Fast driving in areas where there are cones, barricades, and construction equipment can be dangerous.
