A $26.5 million budget for the next fiscal year is on file at Ottawa High School. Supt. Mike Cushing says it’s the best preliminary budget he’s ever presented. It has a $1.3 million education fund surplus. There’s COVID-19 relief money in it, and not all of it is tied only to the unusual expenses that came with the pandemic. The school will have air conditioning upgrades over the next three summers so more of the buildings are cooled.
The school’s budget hearing will be at the next high school board meeting.
