The Business Employment Skills Team’s innovations during the pandemic include a drive-through job fair. Executive Director Carrie Folken says it didn’t get off to a great start. There were 30 employers and just 15 people looking for work. But with help from the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, the second job fair drew 150 job seekers.
She’s hoping for more job seekers than that tomorrow (Tuesday, August 17) from 11am to 2pm at the Jordan Block in downtown Ottawa. People going can submit their resumes and job applications from their cars.
