Eloy Jiménez homered twice, doubled and drove in five as the White Sox completed the three-game sweep of the Cubs with a 9-3 win at Wrigley Field. Andrew Vaughn drilled a two-run homer and Tim Anderson added a solo shot for the South Siders. Dylan Cease earned the victory after striking out ten and allowing three-runs over five-innings. Zach Davies struggled for the Cubs who will host the Brewers tonight.
The White Sox hit the road to Minnesota to take on the Twins at Target Field. Lucas Giolito will take the mound and center fielder Luis Robert will be back for the South-Siders. Pregame begins at 6:30 with the first pitch at 7:10pm on 93.5 and 1430 WCMY.
The Cardinals rally came up short in a 6-5 loss in the series finale against the Royals at Busch Stadium. Paul Goldschmidt and Dylan Carlson each drove in a pair and Alex Reyes was tagged with the loss for the Cards, who took two of three in the series. St. Louis visits the Pirates tomorrow night.
Former Cub Anthony Rizzo is sidelined after testing positive for COVID-19. The current New York Yankees first baseman is the fourth member of the franchise to test positive for the virus. The 32-year-old is experiencing some symptoms but is said to be “doing all right.”
The Fire defeated the New York Red Bulls 2-1 at Soldier Field in the MLS. The Fire will conclude their three-game homestand Sunday against the Columbus Crew.

The closing ceremonies for the Olympics were yesterday and Team USA is leaving Tokyo with the most gold medals won and the most medals overall. USA won a total of 39 gold medals and 113 total medals to lead both categories. China finished second with 88 total medals and 38 gold.
Legendary college football coach Bobby Bowden has died at the age of 91. Bowden coached Florida State for 34 years and was the second winningest coach in Division One history with 357 wins to his credit.
