Yesterday on WCMY, Lance Lynn’s arm and bat lifted the White Sox to a 3-1 win over the Brewers in Milwaukee. Lynn tossed six-innings of one-run ball and hit a key two-run single in the second for the Sox, which salvaged the final game of the series. The right-hander improved to 10-and-3 and Liam Hendriks posted his 24th save.
The White Sox travel to Kansas City to face the Royals in a four game series. Dallas Keuchel takes the mound for the Sox and outfielder Eloy Jiménez will finally make his 2021 debut. Pregame starts at 6:30 with the first pitch at 7:10pm on 93.5 and 1430 WCMY.
Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo homered back-to-back in the first inning in the Cubs 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field. David Bote also went yard and Trevor Williams pitched six-and-a-third scoreless innings to pick up the win for the North-Siders, which took two of three in the series. The Cubs host the Reds tonight.
The Cardinals exploded with seven fourth inning runs to salvage a 10-6 win over the Reds in the series finale in Cincinnati. The fourth inning included home runs by Harrison Bader and Dylan Carlson. Tyler O’Neill and Nolan Arenado also went deep for St. Louis. Ryan Helsley earned the win in relief. The Cards are in Cleveland tomorrow night.
The Blackhawks are adding eight prospects following the 2021 NHL Draft over the weekend. The picks are headlined by first-round defenseman Nolan Allan and second-round forward Colton Dach. Dach is the younger brother of current Blackhawks center, Kirby Dach.

Zach Apple, Bowen Becker, Blake Pieroni and Caleb Dressel raced the United States to a gold medal in the men’s four-by-100 relay in Tokyo. Anchored by Apple, the U.S. was three-quarters of a second off of the World Record pace set by the 2008 squad from Beijing that had Michael Phelps.
18 year old Anastasija Zolotic won the United States’ first gold medal in women’s taekwondo by beating Russian athlete Tatiana Minina to claim the featherweight division title.
In the PGA, Cameron Champ lived up to his last name in the 3M Open, winning the tournament with a 15-under score.
Ken “Hawk” Harrelson is finally a Hall of Famer. The iconic former White Sox broadcaster entered the broadcast wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame Saturday in Cooperstown, New York. Harrelson was the recipient of the 2020 Ford C. Frick Award for broadcasting excellence. The 79-year-old broadcast games for 42 years, 33 of them for the Sox, after a nine-year playing career.
