A demolition crew took down the rest of a building that partially collapsed in LaSalle yesterday. The back half of the two-story brick building at 1st and Tonti streets came down Monday morning. The Mutual Aid Box Alarm System brought in rescue crews to look for anyone who may have been in the building. They found no one. The LaSalle Fire Department says after that, the crews called in a local contractor to tear down the rest of the building to prevent any further risk of collapse and injury.
