The NBA Finals are all tied up AFTER LAST NIGHT at two-games apiece.  The Bucks outscored the Suns by 12 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 109-103 win in Game Four in Milwaukee.  Khris Middleton dropped 40 points for the Bucks who won both games at home to even the series.  Devin Booker poured in a game-high 42 points to lead Phoenix, which will host Game Five on Saturday

 

The unofficial second half of the MLB season begins today when the Yankees and Red Sox meet in New York.  

 

The White Sox will host the Astros on Friday at Guaranteed Rate Field. Pre-game starts at 6:30 with the first pitch at 7:10pm right here on 93.5 and 1430 WCMY.

 

Also on Friday the Cubs start a three game road trip in Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. Kyle Hendricks will take the mound for the North-Siders.

 

The Cardinals start a three game homestand with the Giants tomorrow night at Busch Stadium. The San Francisco Giants own the best record in the MLB.

 

During the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Angels signed veteran outfielder Adam Eaton just  days after he was released by the White Sox. 

 

For the first time in a decade, the Open Championship returns to Royal Saint George’s in Sandwich, England.  U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm returns to the field for the first time since winning at Torey Pines last month, while the world’s number one golfer, Dustin Johnson, is in action along with Bryson DeChambeau and his new arch-rival Brooks Koepka.   However, Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama, Bubba Watson, and Zach Johnson have all withdrawn for various reasons.

 

Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal has entered health and safety protocols at Team USA practice.  Beal’s return to the court for the Tokyo Olympics is uncertain.  He started the team’s first three exhibition games against Nigeria, Australia, and Argentina.  

 

Team WNBA defeated Team USA 93-85 in the WNBA All-Star game in Las Vegas last night.  During halftime, Chicago Sky Guard Allie Quigley won her third WNBA Three-Point Contest title.

 

Speaking of the Sky, forward Candace Parker will be the first female athlete to grace the cover of the popular video-game NBA 2K.  The future Hall of Famer and two-time WNBA MVP will be featured on the cover of the special WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition.
