Both lanes of Interstate 80 between IL 251 and the Interstate 39 interchange will be closed this Thursday.
The Illinois Department of Transportation says it will start at 8pm and is expected to be finished by 5am Friday.
Beams from the bridge over the Little Vermillion River are being removed.
It will be an 18 mile detour for motorists who take the detours IDOT posts.
Drivers are also urged to pay attention to conditions and should allow some extra time traveling.
