UPDATE: ComEd reports most of the Streator customers who lost power about 4:15am have it on again. There are fewer than five outages west of Streator. Lightning is blamed for the outages.
Ameren reports four scattered outages in the Ottawa area affecting one to five customers in each location. An outage in the area of Buffalo Rock State Park is because of a fallen tree. The others are blamed on power equipment damage.
In Bureau County, three Corn Belt Co-op customers have no power.

Ameren and ComEd report scattered power outages across the area this morning after a stormy night.
Five Ameren customers are affected west of Naplate because of a fallen tree. Four customers in Naplate, two on Ottawa’s south side, and one in the Dayton area are without power because of power company equipment damage. The cause of one customer’s power loss on Ottawa’s south side is undetermined. The outages started around 2am.
ComEd says 25 Streator customers have no power because of lightning affecting the power system there around 4am. Less than five people in the Leonore area have no power. The cause there is still under investigation.
Corn Belt Energy Co-op reports three customers affected in Bureau County.
