A citizen of Marseilles says that there’s an issue with fireworks being shot off and causing too much noise.
Brad Miller says he would like to see the fines raised in the city for people shooting off the fireworks late at night.
He says that the city does a good job at patrolling the city and do catch somebody every once in a while.
Miller says the fireworks cause problems with his dogs because when they go off the dogs tremble and drool.
He also says he has neighbors who are veterans and they could have PTSD.
Marseilles Police Chief Brian Faber says the police department is taking a zero tolerance approach to the issue.
