Ottawa Elementary School District Superintendent Cleve Threadgill says it’s typical that the district might spend a little more than projected in past budgets but this year they made up for it in revenue.
Threadgill says some of the funding will go toward helping students who had trouble during the pandemic.
He says that the district will hire teachers this year and next year that will focus on helping students who struggled
The superintendent says that the school spent about 31.4 million dollars last year but made about 31.8 million dollars in revenue.
The school board approved the 2021 budget at Tuesday’s meeting as well.
Threadgill says he is happy with how it turned out.
