Cong. Adam Kinzinger wants more things made in the Americas and he wants supply chains protected from cyber attacks and other interference.
The congressman says The Manufacturing Abilities Determine Economies or MADE In America Act would deploy a strategy on it.
Kinzinger says the coronavirus exposed part of the problem.
He also said that the legislation would establish a Manufacturing Security and Resilience Council to oversee national policy that would incentivize flexible and convertible manufacturing.
It would also prioritize the establishment of free trade agreements between the U.S and other markets.
