The highway work on Interstate 80 in western LaSalle County will cause a road closure this weekend. Starting tonight at 7pm, E. 3rd Rd. in LaSalle will be closed at I-80. The Illinois Department of Transportation says a contractor will remove part of the I-80 bridge that crosses E. 3rd Rd. It’s part of the $16 million project replacing the I-80 bridge over the Little Vermilion River. E 3rd. Rd. is expected to reopen Monday morning at 5am.
