The LaSalle County Treasurer’s Office says 66,124 property tax bills were mailed two weeks ago. About $243 million is due.
The first installment due date is July 1st. The second installment is due on September 1st. Late fees begin the very next day after a due date.
People who don’t want to stand in line to pay in person can drop off payments at the drop box at the Etna Rd. courthouse in Ottawa, mail their payments in, pay online, or pay at most area banks.
