A 60-year old Mendota man is the person who died while kayaking on the Vermilion River near Oglesby Tuesday. LaSalle County Coroner Rich Ploch says Ralph W. Frey’s body was found in the water. A fisher had spotted an empty kayak, prompting a search Tuesday morning.
