Shaun Roberson, 29, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2026 at his home.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at the graveside at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Shaun was born on September 22, 1997 in Peru, IL to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Cordes) Roberson. He attended Putnam County High School and graduated with the Class of 2016.
Shaun was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed watching Star Wars and horror movies, and even named his cat after his favorite Star Wars character, Anakin. He loved to spend time hanging out with his friends and family, and riding his 3-wheeler.
Shaun is survived by his three sisters, Bobette Roberson, Lisa (Joe) Gallup of Cabot, AR, and Kenya (Cris) Machetta; two nieces, Megan and Lauren Machetta; his uncle, David (Dawn) Cordes of Bloomington, IL; his aunts, Beverly Kocher of Henry, IL, Phyllis Bianchi of Standard, IL, Valerie (Jim) Hofer of Putnam, IL, Debra Coan of Granville, IL, Michelle (Rick) Struglinski of Spring Valley, IL, and Danelle (Jim) Yuhas of McNabb, IL; as well as many cousins and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth; and his aunts, Audrey Miller in 2008 and Madalyn Nanni in 2018.
