Bradley Scott Ziegler, 61, of Seneca, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home, 135 E. Lincoln St., Seneca, IL 61360. A funeral ceremony will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Steve Cook officiating. Private burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Brad was born on December 27, 1964 in Appleton, WI to Earl and Joyce (Jentz) Ziegler. He served for 6 years in the United States Navy on the USS Nimitz. While serving in the Navy, he earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. When he returned from the service, he met the love of his life, Amy Dixon, and ultimately they got married on November 7, 1992 at Grace Lutheran Church in Morris.

Brad was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking. He and Amy were member of Goose Lake in Morris for many years. He had a green thumb and always had a beautiful flower garden and a bountiful vegetable garden. He enjoyed classic rock music and attending concerts, especially when he saw Warren Zevon. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Amy Ziegler; his children, Sarah (Carlos) Munoz, Rachel (Cory) Schellhaas, and Nathan Funte; his grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, Jade, Isaac, Eli, Edwin, and Ethan; his sisters, Lynn (Roger) Naniot and Sherry (Tim) Murphy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Joyce.
